Neuromodulator injection is an excellent treatment for lines and wrinkles.

It is used to diminish frown lines, forehead and wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet). It is also used as a brow lift. Botox Cosmetic is an amazing medication. The magic takes place 5-14 days after the treatment. A smooth and more youthful appearance is achieved without any surgery. Botox Cosmetic can also be used to improve upper lip lines, lift downturned corners of the mouth and minimize vertical bands of the neck.

There are many misconceptions about Botox Cosmetic,

Myth #1: BOTOX is unsafe.
FACT: BOTOX has a long and well-established safety history. While you may know BOTOX as a wrinkle treatment, it has actually been in use for over 24 years for the effective treatment of a range of medical conditions. Botox is one of the most widely researched medicines in the world.

Myth #2: Botox is botulism (food poisoning).
FACT: Botox is not botulism. It is a purified protein and a finished medical prescription product proven to be very safe through extensive research and testing.

Myth #3: BOTOX Cosmetic treatment is painful.
FACT: A BOTOX treatment is quick and simple. A very fine needle and small amount of liquid is used, so the pain associated with the injection is minimal. No anesthetic is required, you can resume normal activities immediately.

Myth # 4: BOTOX will result in the loss of facial expression.
FACT: BOTOX is intended to enhance the way you look, not change it. When administered by an experienced physician, you can still smile, frown and animate. The treatment only relaxes the muscle beneath the lines at the point of injection, so the other elements of facial expression remain active. It also has no effect on the sensory nerves, so you will have normal feeling in the treated areas.

BOTOX Therapeutic
Botox is also successfully used for treatment of excessive sweating. The procedure involves the injection of Botox around the sweat glands. Common areas include underarms, palms, and soles. Most private insurance covers the cost of Botox. After the treatment the patient will feel dry and comfortable for 6-8 months.

Dermal Fillers: Injectable facial fillers

What are dermal fillers?
In the 1930s, researchers discovered hyaluronic acid. They found that it plays a key role in numerous areas of the body including the maintenance of skin volume and hydration, eye volume and shape, as well as joint lubrication and cushioning.

In the decades since, numerous therapeutic and aesthetic uses have been developed for this versatile natural substance.

TEOSYAL, REVANESSE, JUVEDERM are all hyaluronic acid which is a substance the body uses to plump and cushion skin and other tissues. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component found in the body.

How does it work?
During treatment a tiny amount of gel is injected under the wrinkle which is lifted up and smoothed out. It can be used to contour and fill out the lips, smooth wrinkles and add volume to the face.

Does it hurt?
Some of the fillers contain anaesthetic and, if required, a local anaesthetic can be injected prior to the procedure. After your treatment, it is common to experience some temporary flaking or scaling, redness and dryness of the skin. However, these conditions will disappear as the skin adjusts to treatment.
