Evangeline Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) Injection

You are familiar with PRP and fillers, but what happens where you combine them? Then Evangeline is for you. Plasma Filler Injections are the newest wave in natural beauty with breakthrough proprietary technology. It harnesses the power of Platelet-Rich-Plasma and pairs it with the instantaneous results of fillers.

Evangeline is a Health Canada Approved Platelet-Rich-Plasma product that provides an immediate filler effect and long-term collagen boosting and skin regeneration. Evangeline is a unique gel which is injected in areas where there has been a loss of volume.

By using your own regenerative properties (PRP), unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Evangeline utilises the most natural form of growth factors available. This eliminates the risk of rejection, disease transmission, vascular events, granulomas and allergic reactions. It is safe, natural, and effective!

HOW DOES EVANGELINE WORK?

Dr. Willem Gouws, our Board Certified Aesthetic Physician performs this procedure for your maximum benefit and safety . He draws blood from the client in order to create the Biosimulator matrix – or PRFM. The same centrifuge process as with standard PRP is used to extract the Platelet-Rich-Plasma and he then injects this liquid gold into the area being treated. Once injected, this liquid transforms into a beautiful moldable gel that can be manipulated to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and to create added volume wherever you are noticing sagging or laxity.
Again unlike fillers over the time, regenerative properties will kick in, release growth factors and boost collagen production, harnessing your body’s natural healing procedure.

PRP VS PRFM:

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is all about your blood. Within your plasma, you find tiny cells that contain special proteins that are super beneficial to the body when it comes to healing. We call these tiny healing cells growth factors, for their ability to encourage the body to grow and form new cells.
PRP therapy is a safe and effective treatment where we draw a small amount of blood from the patient, place the sample into a centrifuge, and then process the blood to help separate it into distinct layers. We then collect the platelets and plasma in the upper part of the test tube and use it to infuse the skin, scalp, or other area of the body with tissue damage. These concentrated growth factors then go in and encourage the damaged areas to begin the cell production process.

Platelet-rich fibrin matrix, or PRFM, involves taking these same blood cells and spinning them in the centrifuge at a lower speed, so that the layers of the blood do less separating. This process allows some of the white blood cells and stem cells to stay in the upper platelet layer that we collect for treatment.
Because of its higher concentration, PRFM can be more effective and powerful compared to traditional PRP. There is also some research that shows the growth activity stimulated by platelet-rich fibrin matrix lasts longer, which may provide better results and progress with the same amount of treatments as PRP.

Both PRP and PRFM can be used to treat the following:
  • Hair loss and volume loss
  • Aging, sagging skin
  • Loss of elasticity or collagen
  • Scarring, acne scars, keloids
  • Stretchmarks and fine lines
  • Wrinkles
